Aerial Dancers

Flying Arrow aerialists combine strength and elegance of movement using unique aerial apparatuses. The variety of apparatuses are endless, however the most common being, silks, lyra, trapeze, hammock, straps, and rope. View our gallery below to decide which is best for you. Each apparatus has it’s own space requirements. All apparatuses are tested and approved by Flying Arrow professionals.

Aerial Acts typically last from 5-7 minutes or can fill a full length show with multiple performers. Aerial performers pair well with stilt walkers, hoop dancers, jugglers, or models. Or consider featuring aerialists within a larger variety show!

Not sure about structural rigging? No problem. We have a freestanding aerial rig available at request. Or checkout our interactive aerialists, on our aerial bartending page.

Things to know before booking an Aerialist

Aerial performers are available for both stage shows and ambient entertainment. Ambient aerialists pair well with DJs and live bands as they can easily flow with the vibe of the music. Ambient acts are great for cocktail parties, galas, and special events where guests are milling throughout the venue or dancing on the dance floor. Ambient aerial performances help create an exciting, unexpected atmosphere. Stage style performances occur to set music and last between three and seven minutes (depending on the song). Stage style performances are great for sit down dinners, weddings, or street fairs when you want to capture the attention of your audience for a “focal point” performance. Stage style aerial acts are also ideal within a larger circus variety show.

Safety is our top priority. Every venue is different and each environment requires careful considerations before rigging aerial apparatuses. We offer free consultations via phone or email to discuss rigging options that might work for your venue. When possible, we can rig directly off a venue’s existing structure or grid. If not, we offer a portable, free-standing “quad rig” adjustable in height and footprint. At maximum height, the aerial rig requires a 22×22 footprint. For a venue with at least 11′ but less than 15′, we recommend our Freestanding Aerial Hoop. Please connect with our booking team to learn more about aerial rigging and your event!

When considering the location for an aerial performance, consider the flow of your venue. Aerial performances should be in a prominent location that does not impede the flow of guests or handicapped access. If an event is outdoors, aerial performances must be set up in an area with low wind; consider using natural barriers like buildings as a backdrop to minimize wind exposure. With indoor locations, consider the schedule of your event. Factor in what happens before and after the aerial performance and pick a location that allows for discreet setup and breakdown.
